MAC Blushes for Women of Colour

Hey Everyone, sorry for having been MIA for a long time, technical glitches I must say. Its been a while I have written a post on makeup and that’s indubitably ‘not being ME‘. So with summers fast approaching, I have for you my favourite MAC blushes for the Woman of Colour.

So all you lovelies, Prep & primeย for those sunny days!!

Summer colors are primarily muted, subtle, and mostly matte. Corals, peaches and pinks work best and I rather keep the shimmer ones at bay.

Disclaimer : Ok, I have to admit that I am rather conventional when it comes to blushes. I stick and play around with the pinks corals and neutrals all seasons round. So my summer blushes work precisely the entire year. ๐Ÿ˜› I wold love to some day don shades of purple , mauve and reds( ummmm..I don’t see that happening anytime soon)

I am in the shade NC 42 and these blushes work perfectly on my skin, though most of them are MAC bestsellers and are universally flattering. I prefer my blushes to be matte since I am blessed with an oily skin and stay away from shimmer blushes or even the cream ones.

MAC Melba

Melba is my first ever MAC blush and I am partial towards this gorgeous shade. This nudish peach shade is my holy grail blush and is literally my everyday makeup essential. Works perfectly for a brunch, day out with friends and is uber corporate chic. I suggest this blush to every corporate professional out there.

MAC Peaches

The name suffices for this blush to figure on my list for summer must haves. Peaches is one of MAC’s bestsellers and it deserves the due accolades. It imparts a subtle and soft flush of colour to the cheeks and looks perfectly blended with a bold lip. This baby is a summer essential by all means.

MAC Gingerlyย

A mix of coral and pink, gingerly looks lovely for a day look and transitions effortlessly into the night. This shade looks very natural and looks almost like a warm bronzer of my skin. ย This shade is almost similar to MAC’s Desert Rose and suits all skin tones.

MAC Pinch Me

Of all the shades listed, this is they most pigmented and is the perfect deep pink blush for my skin tone. I would not recommend this shade on a daily basis owing to its pigmentation, kept mostly for evening looks.

These were my favourites picks for the summer months. MAC Blushes are pigmented, so a little goes a long way and is very easy to blend in. Definitely worth the hype and is of great quality.

Price: INR1500

Bask in the summer sun in all its glory with these blushes!!!!

Until the next post,

Stay Stylish, Stay You

Love

  1. Ohh I need Mac Peaches in my life. It’s on my wishlist from a long long time now. Peachy and orange-y blushes complement my skin the most. I am also after Nars Tajmahal blush which is orange blush. I have its dupe in sleek Sahara and it’s my best blush yet. I also stay away from shimmery blushes and keep shimmer only highlighter ๐Ÿ™‚ Shimmery blushes tend to emphasise on my large pores around my T-zone. Have you tried elf mineral blush in Coral? It’s the best thing I bought from elf and it complements women of colour. Lovely post.
