How many times have we wondered while going through the glossy pages of a Grazia or a Cosmopolitan , the feasibility of incorporating the runway trends into our daily lives. Let’s be honest, the fashion that is offered to us four times a year can get a tad intimidating. The outfits are beautiful and inspiring but I can’t imagine anyone wearing them unless on a red carpet.
But come to think of it, it is indeed these trends on the ramp that manouvere what is offered to us in the stores, making the way to Pinterest feeds and of course those glossy pages. However, everything is not for everyone. It is rightly said that Fashion is offered four times a year, style is what we choose.
A couple of days back, I did a Runway to Reality trend week showcasing the top Spring/Summer trends that work for me. Ofcourse , why even try to make an effort for fashion that is not part of your individuality.
Flower designs have never really gone out of trend. Come Spring/Summer and you find yourself naturally gravitating towards this exuberant design. The blossoming flower actually exudes so much happiness. Victoria Beckham , Jason Wu , Micheal Kors all ensured us that florals are here to stay.
I personally feel that navy stripes will never ever go out of fashion and even if it were to, you could never be caught off guard by the fashion police. Some styles are eternal and imparts elegance effortlessly. A number of designers showcased their love for stripes including Proenza Schouler, Tommy HilfigerXGigi, Monse to name a few.
