The Enigmatic Denim Shirt

The denim shirt has been a veteran in the fashion arena. It has stuck around for more than a century and has emerged synonymous to casual and comfort dressing. From the first denim jacket conceptualized by Levi Strauss to the multiple iterations and renditions by designers such as Valentino, Proenza , this piece of clothing has channeled the virtue of versatility in its true form.

The shirt has evolved as an epitome of casual clothing and we have seen gazillion fashionistas sporting it with utmost ease and effortlessly creating a fashion statement. It is a wardrobe staple and I doubt if there are any who wouldn’t have one tucked in their closet.

But what is Fashion if it isn’t challenged enough !!! I have rarely imagined a denim shirt in the corporate arena since it has mainly being confined to the boundaries of relaxed styling. The idea of incorporating a denim shirt as a part of formal dressing was intriguing enough to be attempted.

Precisely what forms the premise of this post. A rather unconventional twist to the Denim Shirt.

Paired this denim shirt with a rather conventional black pencil skirt. I believe nothing compliments the denim more than tan. Added them through a tan belt , pumps and a satchel bag to complete the look .
