Sheer as a fabric adds elegance and sexiness to the simplest of the outfits. It has been part of a few seasons and has every time undergone an innovation on the runway. From the ramp to high street, this is one of the most celebrated trend and is speculated to continue its dominance for a couple more seasons atleast.
Sheer!! It has an innate personality of being a tad intimidating. It can be incredibly chic but one small mistake and it can be a disaster waiting to happen. When most of us think about this see through clothing, our minds jump straight to a bedroom negligee, costumey pieces, or tops and dresses that straight up throw modesty out the window — and require a decent amount of confidence to wear in public. So by doing sheer we are necessarily not putting up a peep show. With the correct styling you can work sheer into your spring wardrobe no matter your aesthetic or willingness to bare skin.
In this post, I am trying to work the sheer trend. With sheer the trick is to not try too hard. Even a little bit of effort can make the ensemble look way intimidating for one’s palette.
While doing sheer, please be wary of going heavy on accessories and try to keep it rather plain. Stick to only one piece of sheer rather than creating an entire ensemble with multiple pieces. And to top it all, let your confidence do the talking. Its never about the clothes you wear but the attitude with which you carry yourself.
Until next time,
