You like my picture? It took about 20 shots to get it right !!! And yes, I take hours pursuing my passion.

Often being on social media is considered to be straight up shallow. Forget being taken seriously , it is perceived synonymous to narcissism. I have been termed as a spendthrift many a times and yes it is not very pleasing to the ears. Probably a reason why an influencer is never given their due credit is the nature of content that we put up on our pages. Fashionable outfits, styled poses, makeup clad faces and all the happy moments.Β The umpteen shots behind that perfect pose, the numerous thoughts behind a well styled outfit, the brainstorming behind every blog post and the hours of SEO is never put up for the #world to see.

But do we really need to justify our passion to these ignorant souls who feel that influencers have a job easy and walk away with free goodies. Not really !!!

But through #influenceispower campaign conceptualized by Plixxo, why not put a piece of your mind for the #world to hear.

I am not a model, but fashion and styling comes naturally to me and blogging helps me explore and nurture my passion. To discover your true calling and to constantly and consistently be at it along with a full fledged corporate career comes with a set of challenges. Β And I proudly call myself an influencer.

And if we cannot really encourage anyone, try not to bring them down. We never really have an iota of knowledge about their battles.

Instead lets empower each other.

Until next time,

Stay Stylish, Stay You

  2. Love this post so much! I can totally agree with you. I’m no influencer but I own a dress boutique and write a blog to support it. People have assumed that I’m shallow or that I really don’t do anything because my work is based around fashion. No idea why?! They don’t take the time to consider the effort and skill that it really requires. But I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t care what they think…I know the truth. I agree that we need to empower each other! πŸ™ŒπŸΎ
