Revival

If at any moment you feel like giving up, just remember why you started at the first place. A couple of weeks back, I was almost on the verge of quiting my passion of being a blogger, the drive to stay on social media was almost nill. Why, What for, For whom?? , these questions started floating in my mind more frequently. But there was some force that prevented me fron succumbing to my silly decision. It was a morning during that lull phase, I got a message from a magazine asking me if I would like a feature. The theme for the same was ‘Revival’ -how you recuperate after a fall!

Coincidence doesn’t exist and goosebumps never lie. Your body already knows the answer. All you have to do is turn down your spinning mind, and continue to follow all signs. Because you are always worthy of becoming your best and most actualized self. – Victoria Erickson

No points for guessing here, I did get featured. Drumrolls …!!! I have shared my article below. Also, this marks the 100th post on my blog.

And who’s talking about giving up ?!!!

Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up, with goals so strong that all obstacles, failure and loss only act as a motivation. Anything that comes easy in life isn’t worthwhile. Many a times, we are confronted by episodes of a major setback or a failure that poses in front of us questions of our existence leaving behind a void and the uncertainty of a possible comeback. This is a reality. Another reality that is inevitable is change. On this roller coaster trip called life, we all change anyhow. The difference lies in whether we acknowledge the change or not. And while acknowledging, whether we choose to lead the change or be lead by it. Instead of holding on to what is bound to slip away, its time to orchestrate the new reality.

So this Spring let’s celebrate the new reality, new beginnings !!

I am Jovita Jose, a research analyst by profession and a fashion blogger purely by passion.

Created and curated by Jovita in 2016, Voguishlychic.com combines the best of all things style, some things fashion and a sprinkle of beauty and lifestyle.A fashion enthusiast by birth, makeup maven by choice, serving up a daily dose of fashion must haves, current obsessions and everything style in between.

From my growing up years itself, I had an inclination towards fashion and an eye for detail. I had always wanted to make a mark in the fashion arena, in any little way possible. However, I went on to pursue a degree in Economics and further on did an MBA but the fashionista in me was left untapped. Not having pursued my passion for fashion left me woefully inadequate. It was over a coffee discussion with a colleague that the idea of starting a fashion blog originated. She has a very popular travel blog and her suggestion seemed feasible. Instead of sulking for not doing what I dreamt of, why not do the best in your capacity. That evening I created by blog and penned down my very first post.

Fashion for me has always been an armor to survive the reality of life. Never really has my life turned out the way I had planned it be. It would be too idealistic a scenario had that been. A few testing times, minor turbulences and periods of uncertainty. These I feel actually acts like a spice to the otherwise bland journey. So instead of sulking and succumbing to it, I choose to put on a bold red lipstick, wear those vertigo inducing heels , power dressing and take on the world with a rather put together face.

So its about time that we embrace our failures, imperfections and all the hurdles that are thrown at us. Life is simply refusing to give up on yourself and on others who matter the most to you.
